We've roofed dozens of historic properties across Mid-Missouri and know how to match the original look with materials that hold up. DaVinci composite slate and shake are usually the best fit. They look like the original but handle Missouri weather far better and last decades longer.
How does river humidity affect roofing in Cooper County?
Living near the Missouri River means higher moisture year-round. That humidity speeds up moss and algae growth, which traps moisture against your shingles and shortens their lifespan. It also makes attic ventilation critical. Without it, condensation causes rot you will not see until it is serious. We specify algae-resistant shingles and make sure ventilation is balanced. Most contractors skip this, but it makes a real difference.
Do I need a permit for roof work in Cooper County?
