Elite Preferred James Hardie Installer

Your Siding Is Your Home’s First Defense. We Make Sure It Holds.

James Hardie fiber cement resists fire, hail, rot, and woodpeckers, and holds its baked-on color for decades. It is a premium product that only pays off when it is installed right, which is why Hardie reserves its top credential for a small number of contractors. In Mid-Missouri, that is us.

A Lot of Mid-Missouri Homes Are Wearing Siding That Was Never Built to Last This Long

If your home went up in the 1980s or 1990s, there is a good chance it is clad in Masonite, a pressed-wood product builders loved and manufacturers discontinued by the early 2000s. It looked fine for years. Then it started swelling at the edges, soaking up water, and crumbling where the paint failed. The same slow decline hits aging wood and brittle old vinyl. You see it from the street first: tired, patched, a little embarrassing on an otherwise well-kept house. Then comes the hard part, deciding what to replace it with and who to trust to do it.

  • Failing Masonite that swells, soaks up water, and crumbles at the seams
  • Rotting or splitting wood siding that needs scraping and repainting every few years
  • Faded, chalky panels dragging down the look of an otherwise cared-for home
  • Repaint cycles and repair bills that never seem to end
  • The worry that you will spend real money and still pick the wrong material or the wrong crew

The Product Matters. The Install Matters More.

Fiber cement is heavier and less forgiving than vinyl. Cut it wrong, fasten it wrong, or skip the flashing details, and even the best board underperforms. That is the whole reason James Hardie created its certification tiers.

We did not want to do this twice. We wanted the good stuff, put on by people who actually know how to install it.”

That is exactly the homeowner Hardie’s Elite Preferred program is built for, and it is who we are. We will walk your home, tell you honestly whether fiber cement is the right call or whether something else fits your budget better, and show you what your house could look like before you commit. Plenty of guidance, zero pressure.

We’ve Spent 15 Years Earning Trust. Here’s the Proof.

Certifications aren’t trophies we hang on the wall. They’re promises from manufacturers that we install their products the right way, every time. And they back those promises with warranties that only certified contractors can offer.

From a Full Re-Side to a Single Cracked Board, One Certified Crew

New construction, a full replacement, or a repair, here is how we help.

01

Full Fiber Cement Re-Side

Tear off the old material, inspect and prep what is underneath, and install James Hardie to manufacturer spec with proper flashing and fastening.

02

Masonite and Wood Replacement

Pulling failing Masonite or rotting wood and replacing it with Hardie in a similar profile, so the upgrade looks intentional, not patched.

03

Hardie Repair and Trim

Cracked boards, storm hits, and tired trim. We match your profile and ColorPlus finish where possible and seal it up correctly.

04

Insurance and Storm Claims

Fiber cement resists hail and fire, which can matter to your insurer. When a storm does cause damage, we document it and advocate for fair coverage.

One Material, Designed to Match Almost Any Mid-Missouri Home

Hardie has been in production since the mid-1980s and comes in profiles that suit everything from a historic farmhouse to a new build. Here is what we install most.

HardiePlank Lap

The most popular profile in the country. Classic horizontal boards that read clean and traditional, and the safest choice for resale.

HardiePanel Board and Batten

Vertical panels with battens for a farmhouse or modern-farmhouse look, often used to set off gables and entries.

HardieShingle

The texture and charm of cedar shake without the rot, repainting, or fire risk of real wood.

HardieTrim and ColorPlus Technology

Matching trim and a factory-baked color finish engineered to resist fading, so your color stays put far longer than field-applied paint.

No Surprises, No Runaround. Here Is Exactly What Happens.

We have done this 22,000+ times. You will know what is happening at every step and why.

1

Inspection

We walk your home, assess the existing siding and what it is hiding underneath, and document it with photos. Free, no obligation.

2

Recommendation

We show you what we found, then lay out Hardie profiles, ColorPlus options, and a clear written estimate. We can also help you visualize the finished look before you decide.

3

Installation

Our certified crews install to James Hardie specification, with the flashing, fastening, and clearances fiber cement requires. Done right the first time, because doing it twice is not an option.

4

Warranty & Follow-Up

You get Hardie’s product warranty plus our workmanship warranty. If anything is not right, you call us directly, not a hotline.

The Questions Homeowners Actually Ask Us

When it is installed and maintained correctly, fiber cement commonly lasts up to 50 years, which is a big part of why homeowners see it as a buy-it-once material. The install is what protects that lifespan, so the certification of your installer matters as much as the product itself.

Yes. Between lap, board and batten, shingle profiles, matching trim, and a wide ColorPlus palette, Hardie is one of the most versatile materials out there. Classic, modern farmhouse, or clean contemporary, the pieces exist to get the look you want.

Sometimes. Because fiber cement is non-combustible and more hail-resistant than many other materials, some insurers offer a break on premiums. It is not guaranteed and varies by carrier, so ask your insurance agent about your specific policy. We can document the material for you if your insurer wants confirmation.

Hardie’s siding products carry a 30-year non-prorated warranty, and trim products carry a 15-year non-prorated warranty. Non-prorated matters: it means the coverage does not shrink as the years pass. On top of the product warranty, you get our workmanship warranty on the install.

It depends on your home, but a straightforward install in this area generally runs in the range of $8 to $12 per square foot including materials and labor. More involved projects with heavy trim work, multiple stories, or specialty colors can run higher. We give you a specific written number after we see your home, not a vague guess.

Check certification, experience, and real local projects. Hardie’s own “Preferred” and “Elite Preferred” tiers exist precisely to signal who meets their installation standards, and Elite Preferred is the top of that ladder. Ask to see recent work in your area and confirm the warranty terms in writing.
