Just Had a Storm Roll Through Mid-Missouri?

Whether it was hail, high winds, or a tornado touched down nearby — don’t wait to see if your roof held up. We offer free inspections, and we’ll meet your insurance adjuster on-site to make sure nothing gets missed.

Siding Doesn’t Fail Overnight. It Fades, Cracks, and Quietly Lets Water In.

A roof fails loudly, with a leak you can’t ignore. Siding fails quietly. One season it looks a little chalky. The next, a few panels have warped in the summer heat. Then you notice the paint peeling near the foundation, a soft spot by a window, or a woodpecker working on the same corner every morning.

Here in Columbia, siding takes a specific kind of beating: spring hail, humid summers that push moisture behind loose panels, and freeze-thaw cycles that turn a hairline crack into a split board by March. By the time damage is obvious from the street, water has often been getting behind the siding for a while.

  • Fading and chalking that makes the whole house look older than it is
  • Cracked or warped panels after 15+ Missouri storm seasons
  • Soft spots, peeling paint, or rot near windows, corners, and trim
  • Rising cooling bills from gaps in the wall envelope
  • Patch jobs from past contractors that never quite matched

You Shouldn’t Have to Become a Siding Expert

Vinyl or fiber cement? Lap or board and batten? Repair the two damaged walls or re-side the whole house? These are real questions with real money attached, and you shouldn’t have to research cladding systems to get a straight answer.

“We didn’t want a sales pitch. We wanted someone to look at our siding and tell us honestly what it needed.”

That’s what we hear from Columbia homeowners more than anything else, and it’s exactly how we work. We’ll walk your exterior, show you photos of what we find, explain your options in plain language, and let you decide. If a repair will do the job, we’ll tell you. No pressure, no games.

From One Cracked Panel to a Whole-House Transformation

Whatever shape your siding is in, here’s how we help Columbia homeowners.

01

Full Siding Replacement

New siding changes how your house looks, how it handles weather, and what it’s worth. We tear off to the sheathing, fix what we find underneath, and install your new system to manufacturer spec.

02

Siding Repair

Cracked panels, loose sections, woodpecker holes, and rot around trim. We repair the damage and match your existing siding as closely as the market allows, and we‘ll tell you honestly when matching isn’t possible.

03

Hail & Storm Damage Restoration

Hail-damaged siding is often an insurance claim, not an out-of-pocket repair. We document the damage, meet your adjuster, and advocate for fair coverage.

04

Soffit, Fascia & Trim

The details that finish the job and keep water and pests out of your roofline. We install and repair soffit, fascia, and trim to match your new or existing siding.

No Surprises. No Runaround. Here’s Exactly What Happens.

We’ve done this 22,000+ times. You’ll know what’s happening at every step and why.

Inspection

We walk every wall of your home, document the condition of your siding, trim, and flashing with photos, and sit down with you to explain what we found. Free, no obligation, no pressure.

2

Recommendation

Repair or replace, and which material if it’s replace. We lay out your options with real numbers, explain the trade-offs, and let you decide on your timeline, not ours.

3

Installation

Our crews follow manufacturer installation specs to the letter, because that’s what keeps your warranty valid. We protect your landscaping, manage the tear-off, and leave your property clean.

4

Warranty & Follow-Up

I had new Hardie board siding put on two sections of my house and garage. The installers did a very nice job. The original siding was not installed correctly and overtime warped, came loose and uneven. It looks great now and like it should. Money we’ll spent!

I can’t say enough good things about CoMo Premium Exteriors!! They just completed a deck for me and I couldn’t be happier. The entire process was smooth and easy from the free estimate to the follow-up after the job was done. The price seemed reasonable for a composite deck and the work was timely. Wes, did an amazing job of explaining all of my options for design, materials, and financing. He was professional, friendly, upbeat, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Should you decide to hire CoMo Premium Exteriors, definitely ask for Wes. Cathy (I hope I’m spelling this correctly) was a hoot on the phone and very helpful.

We had a very good experience with COMO Premium Exteriors. We worked with Zach in the beginning and he went above and beyond for us. They were able to meet with insurance inspectors and work with a changing scope of work. The workman ship it's self seems to be high quality. They left our yard in great shape and cleaned up very well. We now have a beautiful and strong new roof and gutters.

Zach was phenomenal to work with! His response time was quick and his explanations were thorough. The crew that installed the roof were efficient and thoroughly cleaned up all of the debris. I didn't notice a single nail after they used the magnets throughout the lawn, porch, sidewalk and driveway. The price was very comparable or less than other bids I received. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend COMO Premium Exteriors!

We had a small leak in our attic. I called Wes Davis. He came out, found the problem in a few minutes and fixed it free of charge! I am stingy with my 5-star reviews, but this definitely earned it.

Straight Answers to the Siding Questions We Hear Most in Columbia

t comes down to extent and age. If damage is limited to a few panels and your siding is under 15 years old, repair usually makes sense. If you’re seeing widespread fading, warping, multiple soft spots, or moisture damage on more than one wall, replacement is typically the smarter long-term investment, because patching aged siding often means chasing problems wall by wall. We’ll inspect everything and tell you honestly which one your house actually needs. Schedule a free inspection and we’ll show you exactly what we see.

It depends heavily on the material. Quality vinyl typically delivers 20 to 30 years here, engineered wood like LP SmartSide runs similar with proper maintenance, and fiber cement like James Hardie can go 50 years or more. Mid-Missouri’s humidity, hail, and temperature swings sit at the harsh end of what siding endures, so installation quality matters as much as the material itself. We wrote a full breakdown of expectations vs. reality here →

Often, yes. If hail or wind damaged your siding, your homeowner’s policy likely covers replacement of the affected walls, minus your deductible. The challenge is that siding hail damage is subtle: small cracks, chips in the finish, and dents that adjusters can miss from the ground. We document everything, meet your adjuster on-site, and advocate for fair compensation.

Sometimes, and we’ll be upfront when we can’t. Siding colors and profiles get discontinued, and even a perfect product match will sit next to panels that have faded for a decade. For small repairs we get as close as possible. For insurance claims, a true mismatch can sometimes support replacing full walls rather than patching. We’ll walk you through what’s realistic before any work starts.

Price, durability, and what your house looks like up close. Vinyl costs less upfront, installs faster, and never needs paint. James Hardie fiber cement costs more but resists hail, fire, termites, and rot in a way vinyl can’t, holds crisp shadow lines, and typically lasts decades longer. As an Elite Preferred contractor, our Hardie installs carry the manufacturer’s strongest warranty coverage.

Technically sometimes, but we rarely recommend it. Siding over old siding traps whatever problems already exist: hidden rot, moisture, failing house wrap. A full tear-off lets us inspect and repair the sheathing underneath, install fresh weather barrier, and give your new siding a flat, sound surface. It costs a bit more now and prevents the expensive surprises later.

Most Columbia homes take 3 to 7 days once materials arrive, depending on the size of the house, the material, and what we find under the old siding. Fiber cement takes longer than vinyl because of cutting and detail work. We’ll give you a specific timeline during your consultation, and we won’t leave your walls exposed with weather coming.

Yes. Re-siding a home is a real investment, and we offer flexible financing with terms from 12 to 120 months, including $0 down options. Financing can also stack with an insurance claim to cover upgrades beyond what your policy pays. We’ll walk through the numbers during your consultation. See financing options
